Island Tour
Well known as a major Offshore Finance Centre, for the TV series Bergarac and the local potatoes – Jersey Royals, Jersey is best known as a holiday island for its very agreeable and relaxed pace of life, along with a wealth of attractions and places to stay. Although only 45 square miles, the island holds a surprisingly varied geography with dramatic cliffs to the North, offshore reefs in the East, sweeping beaches in the South and wind-swept sand dunes in the West. Jersey also has a colourful history with monuments dating back to Neolithic times. Whilst part of the British Isles, Jersey is self-governing and has its own parliament called the ‘States’ as well as its own laws, traditions, culture, cuisine, passports, car registration plates and even postage stamps!
