Below is a brief description of some of the Group Classes that are available within a price range of £5 to £10.

Physical benefits of the classes:
Body Pump is a barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 45 - 60 minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight/room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. It is one of the fastest ways to shape up and lose body fat. You use a Step Platform, a bar and a set of weights. If you’re new to weights/resistance exercise or you are out of shape, you should start with light weights. Benefits of Body Pump is that you can burn between 300 - 600 calories per class for fat loss, improving your strength, endurance as well as general fitness, shape and tone your muscles and improve your bone density.

Body Combat class breaks down into 10 routines. First an upper body warm-up that teaches jabs, uppercuts and hooks, followed by an upper body power-training track that takes those moves and adds some oomph! The next two tracks do the same thing with the lower body, focusing on kicks to the side, back and front. Once you’re warmed up, it’s combat time – combinations of punches and kicks. Even the abs track sticks to the theme and the cool down is something you need to experience to believe. The benefit of Body Combat is that it can reduce stress and improve general well being. It also helps to provide excellent training for a variety of sports. Body combat is an effective calorie burner and helps promote changes in body composition resulting in a leaner and more toned body as well as improving muscle strength and speed of movement enabling you to react faster.

Circuit Training. This is a combination of cardiovascular and strength training mixed into 45 - 60 minutes sessions. This class is an all over body workout alternating between different muscle groups and allowing only a short rest interval of 30 - 60 seconds between stations. Cardiovascular fitness is gained along with the benefits of resistance training. The benefits of circuit training are improved fitness, reduced risk of heart disease, healthier heart, lungs and bones, better aerobic capacity and strength and flexibility.
 
Aqua Aerobics exercise is also known as water aerobics and it has caught on as a popular exercise program for many who do not enjoy or may not be able to participate in other types of aerobic classes. Aqua aerobics exercise will be much easier on your joints and back. This is because the water displaces much of your weight. It can displace your weight by up to 85%, depending on the level of water. While this aqua aerobics exercise goes easy on your joints, it still guarantees that you will receive a great workout from a 45 minute class because of the natural resistance of the water. A session of aqua aerobics exercise can burn anywhere from 350 - 600 calories, based on how hard you work and the water level you exercise in. The aqua aerobics exercise consists of a series of dance type steps including some arm motions. They are sometimes set to music using aqua aerobics exercise equipment such as kickboards or wrist weights. The benefit of Aqua aerobics is that you can burn between 350 and 600 calories, improve stamina and fitness levels. Can be beneficial to people who have back or joint problems and helps tone and strengthen.
