If you want to avoid the busy peak season of summer holidays and all that it entails with children and traffic and noise and crowds, an Autumn Break (when the schools are back!) in Jersey can offer the ideal time off for you. Conveniently located in the Channel Islands with less than an hour’s direct flight from London, you’ll really experience and enjoy the ‘get away’ feel of leaving the UK without the inconvenience of any extended travel time.
There is a huge variety of things to do and places to see on Jersey and all interests are catered for – whether it’s VAT free shopping, discovering some of the extensive history of the Island which dates back to the Ice Age, taking to the fairways of one our three 18 hole golf courses, simply taking in some sea air on one of our breath-taking scenic beaches or dining out in a few of our outstanding restaurants all keen for you to appreciate our genuine Jersey produce.
The Island is particularly beautiful in the Autumn as we are still blessed with the warmth of the sun and if you enjoy walking, then why not explore our green lanes and coastal trails on foot or perhaps venture out into the clear moonlight to walk across seabeds, sand bars and gullies on an educational tour to Seymour Tower – a mile out from land. There is also an established annual Autumn Walking Festival which looks after walkers of all abilities and with dedicated guides, you are able to appreciate routes that are normally not accessible to the public.
