The Candidate

 Our team at Hotel de France is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to help lead and become part of our kitchen team. 

Duties will include developing and learning new recipes, daily preparation and presentation of food and ensuring the kitchen is kept hygienically clean. This position also involves training and development of the staff and administration of Food Safety / Health & Safety policies, purchasing policies / procedures and assessment.

You will work to assist in setting and achieving targets, keeping a balanced workload, prioritising tasks on a daily and weekly basis.

Qualifications and Experience

Cooking qualifications to NVQ level 3 or equivalent is essential.

A strong understanding of European HACCP, Food Hygiene & Allergen legislation will be an important part of the role. Food Safety to level 2 would be essential and Food Safety to level 3 would be desirable.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years culinary experience within a similar sized 4* operation in a similar role, with a good understanding of European cuisine and ideally large volume production. 

This position requires a high level of English, good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
